Crofton Community Association Membership – (Registered Charity 301794)

Our Constitution (our guiding document) ensures our membership (currently approximately 2000) is open to all, irrespective of gender, ability, political opinion, nationality, religion or race. Our Area of Benefit is Stubbington and Hill Head but we welcome members from all surrounding areas.

This is something we pride ourselves upon and everyone can be assured a warm, friendly welcome.

As a self-funding charity it is important we continue to achieve the fine balance of ensuring long-term financial stability with charging a ‘fair’ price to our members. Our membership is linked with the hiring fees for rooms and facilities within the Centre. If you attend a group (eg) keep fit, badminton class, karate or nursery you will be required to become a member of the Association. Your group leader will then be able to claim a 50% reduction in the room hire fee we charge them. This will help your group leader to set a cheaper price to you for attending their group/class.

As a member you are also able to hire rooms and sports facilities and you as an individual member(s) may be able to claim the discounted rate (eg) if you hire a badminton court and all the players are members, you will only be charged the discounted rate. A significant 50% saving! Room hire starts at £9.40 per hour. Full details may be obtained by contacting the Community Centre on 01329 662821.

Membership is valid from the 1st September to 31st August every year. Annual Membership cards are issued and all ‘Fees’ are reviewed annually.

Membership fees from 1st September 2017 are:-

Adults£ 15
Children/Youths (under 18) £ 11
Senior Citizens£ 13
Family (maximum of 2 adults & 2 children)   £ 41

As a member, and living within the area of benefit you will then be eligible to have a vote at the Association’s AGM and help determine the future policies and the continual development of the Centre.. Members also qualify to be nominated to serve on the Committee of the Association.

Please also see our detailed membership and hire charges document (open as PDF).

We look forward to welcoming you!
