The Crofton Community Association’ Community Centre is situated in the village of Stubbington, near Fareham in Hampshire.
We are a registered charity (Reg. Charity No. 301794) and our area of benefit is Stubbington and Hill Head but we welcome,
and have members from other areas including Gosport, Fareham, Portsmouth and Southampton.
Our Mission Statement is very important to us and we continually strive to ensure we are achieving our aims:-
- To provide for the people of Hill Head and Stubbington wards a facility of which they are justifiably proud and want to use as a venue of first choice.
- To be helpful and courteous to all users of the facilities at all times.
- To be recognised as the beacon community Association within Hampshire
We have many groups and clubs are who regularly use the Centre. Between them they cater for all ages and abilities and many always have
vacancies for new members to join them. These groups vary from sporting activities, health and exercise, dance, under 5’s, drama, martial arts,
nursery, educational and arts and crafts. Please see further details of the many activities we host on this website.
We have a variety of rooms also available for private hire/functions, ranging from the sports hall, Crofton multi-purpose hall
complete with stage area to enable theatrical productions, ballroom and a variety of other different size rooms to suit every occasion/requirement.
We also have two kitchens for hire to complement the requirements of hiring any of our rooms.
The Centre is organised and managed by a team of Committee members and paid staff. The Committee (currently 15 members) attend regular
Committee meetings to ensure the Charitable aims of the Association are being achieved and to ensure the demands of the Community are being met.
The Centre is managed on a day-to-day, basis by a Centre Manager. Currently her team of staff includes four caretakers/security officers
and four receptionists. In addition to this, the Centre actively encourages volunteers to help with a variety of different tasks, whether the
skills be clerical, reception or skilled trades. As a charity this voluntary help is always greatly received and appreciated.
The Centre is open from 9am – 10.30pm, Monday to Fridays and from 9am – 5pm at weekends. These times may be extended by arrangement with the Centre Manager.
In addition to room hire, we offer a very competitively priced fax and photocopying service.
